9 basic design workshops

When I started the be able project I asked Ixmucane Aguilar, a designer from Guatemala with experience in design education, to develop a series of workshops with me that we held in the ceramics studio of the VIA Werkstätten throughout the summer of 2010. Each week dealt with a different focus in design practice and made use of the usual material at the studio in an unusual way. We conducted sessions about composition, proportion, volume, structures, colour, material connections and function. A few of the workshop results are shown below.
